Preparing for a wax:
1. We need at least 7-10 days of hair growth to wax.
2. Exfoliate. To get the best results possible, it is ideal to exfoliate the area to be waxed two days before your appointment, using a light scrub or shower glove that your skin tolerates well.
3. The morning of your appointment, warm showers are fine, but not hot. Use an antibacterial soap on the skin. DO NOT apply lotions or creams.
4. Remove any jewelry that is near the area to be waxed prior to your appointment.
5. You can bring a book to read or a phone to text, but the cell phone MUST be on SILENT, as we offer many other spa treatments (such as massage) and do not wish to disturb another person's treatment.
6. We love kids-many of us are mothers! HOWEVER, No children allowed in the treatment areas or left unattended, so please make arrangements before you come.
Post Care Instructions:
1. Avoid direct sun and tanning bed exposure 24-48 hours before and after getting waxed.
2. You may experience redness/bumps immediately after waxing that may last up to two days, depending on your sensitivity level.
3. We will apply products to help your skin stay soothed and calm after the waxing. Please don't use exfoliating products on waxed areas for at least 48 hours.
4. For Brazilian/Bikini area waxing, give your skin room to breathe! No tight panties or tight pants for next few days.
5. Hands off! Don't touch areas that have been freshly waxed. Touching these freshly waxed areas can promote irritation. While your pores are open, they are vulnerable to irritation by the extreme temperatures and infection by bacteria.
6. (Brazilian/Bikini) Short Term abstinence. Even though your skin may or may not be tender after waxing, it is highly recommended that you avoid sexual activity for at least 24 hours. Also avoid heavy exercise for 24 hours, as sweat tends to irritate freshly waxed skin.
7. Fight Bumps! Promote optimal skin health by keeping the area clean and use good products to promote smooth, happy skin! We like "ALPHA BETA X". Ask your technician for more details.
8. Finally, DO NOT PICK at any bumps or blemishes that occur. This could lead to infection and/or scarring. Keep the area clean and dry.

FAQ's
How long does the hair stay gone?
Depending on your hair growth, the area being waxed may stay free of hair anywhere from 7-14 days. You may start to see sparse hairs come to the surface. In 4-6 weeks the hair re-growth is usually one-fourth to one-half. Results vary with each individual.
How often should I return for a wax?
Every 4-6 weeks is ideal. Each time, hair growth is sparser, thinner, and finer, which makes the hair removal process a lot easier. Heat stimulates faster rates of growth; you may find that you need to be waxed more frequently in the summer than in the winter. A few hairs may break off during waxing, instead of being pulled out. If you find you have a few hairs left here and there, it is fine to go ahead and tweeze or shave these, but be GENTLE and only do this on skin that is not irritated!
Will I experience in-grown hairs or itching?
You may or may not experience in-grown hairs. We can recommend products to keep the hair follicle free of bacteria and regular exfoliation methods to prevent dead skin cells from trapping hair re-growth. Some women are more prone to receiving in-grown hairs based on their hair type. You should not experience itching because of the thin, fine hair re-growth.
Brazilian/Bikini information:
Does it hurt?
The first time you have waxing in these areas hurts more than any time, due to the hair being pulled out of the follicles for the first time (think pulling off a band aid!). Follow ups get easier, as you keep up with your waxing schedule. Various positions are used to help minimize discomfort. It's better to avoid waxing 2 days before or after your cycle (your skin is more sensitive).
How much hair is removed?
With a typical Brazilian, the hair is removed from the vaginal area, perineum, and anus. There are many variations to this and we respect your input on your waxing experience! Some prefer to have hair left in certain areas, and even shaped triangle, square, rectangle, etc). Please let your technician know.
What if I want something for a special occasion?
We carry body and bikini gems(called Vajazzling) in various designs and alphabet letters. These are self-adhesive, attractive crystals made for the body. They can be purchased and applied easily at home, or applied after your wax treatment. Just let your technician know!
Can I receive a bikini or Brazilian wax if I am pregnant?
Check with your physician first. We will wax you; however, your skin may be more sensitive during your pregnancy.
*Note: This establishment does not permit "double-dipping" of wax sticks.
